MAR Wellness offer Private Pilates Classes

Get more out of each exercise by deepening your understanding of the Pilates Method with Personal Pilates training. Classes are individual and focused on fundamentals. These private classes are great for varying levels; for beginners, we focus on Pilates fundamentals such as 'what are the muscles of the Powerhouse' and how to engage them, and techniques such as breathing correctly. For experienced Pilates clients - focus extend to progressions, strength conditioning and a more cardiovascular workout. 

Pilates focuses on strengthening the 'Powerhouse' - the lower back, lower and upper abdominals, gluts and hips. From here we work on strengthening the extremities - arms, shoulders and legs. Exercises in Pilates incorporates stretch in all aspects of your body - the front, back and sides. Each Pilates exercise has an equal balance of stretch and strength to work toward more functional movements and better posture.  Pilates apparatus uses springs and your body weight to stretch and strengthen at the same time. Exercises are focused on Strength, Control, Conditioning, Co-ordination and Flow. Working on different Pilates Apparatu
s is a faster way to lengthen and strengthen your muscles without building bulk. 

 

THE BENEFITS OF PRIVATE PILATES CLASSES
 

The most obvious benefit of having a private Pilates class starts from the immediate fact you have the instructor’s undivided attention. Where instructions, explanations of exercises are all tailored for the individual. The flow on effects and benefits are;

  1. Better technique in the Pilates method

  2. Better execution of exercises

  3. Better proprioception (body awareness)

  4. Faster progression and results of strength or recovery from injury

In these Private Pilates classes, we work on the reformer, wunda chair, spine corrector, fuse ladder and mat for more specific individual needs.

 

At MAR, private sessions are conducted by Mariana Cavichine who is a highly trained instructor who is experienced in dealing with those who need special care and attention for any reason.

Private Pilates Classes are by appointment only.


**Studio Policy to Cancellations and Rescheduling - In order to best service all our clients, we have a 24 hour cancellation and rescheduling policy. Cancellations and rescheduling made within 24 hours are charged at full class rate.
